What Is The Smoker?

This year marks our 13th annual Smoker. The Smoker started out as sort of a grudge match between two car dealers at the auction where they were told to “take it outside” and they did. It started out on our auction lot and grew from there. Now it’s big enough to hold the event at Century Link Arena in downtown Boise with 8-10 fights between local dealers and automotive industry workers, 4,500 fans, and a huge fund raiser.

Over the past 3 years, we have raised over $160,000 for local charities including the Idaho Food Bank and Special Olympics during our “Last Man Standing.” Everyone on the floor is asked to stand as our owner, Doug Brasher, starts auctioning off monetary denominations as people sit when they have reached the amount they are willing to donate, thus “Last Man Standing.”

In addition to the fights and the charities, each year we hold a luncheon for our VIP’s to meet our celebrity. This year our celebrity guest will be  Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe, Olympic silver medalist, two-time World Heavyweight Champion, and former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. It all comes together as one exciting night for good causes.
